Suck me in ..horses love em... Let's see I owned a blood red chestnut similar to your sorrel, a dapple gray, a palomino... my favorite was the chestnut. We grew up together that horse and me.. 28 years of happiness. Thank you so much for the reminder.
I love horses. I always wanted one when I was a little girl. I loved in the city so not happening. I had cousin that had a horse and stayed at her house a lot. My favorite horses are Sorrell and Palamino.
My first horse was a hand-me-down from my mom...a bay...that I rode from the time I was born and riding double with her until I was almost 16. Shorty died of old age. My sweet 16 present was a 5 year old sorrel named Ginger and boy, was that a different experience for me. She was very high strung and very stubborn. If I didn't work with her almost every day, it was like starting over after the break. Sold her 18 months later, as I was entering my senior year in high school and knew that I wouldn't have time to work with her as much. I always wanted a buckskin because I thought they were so pretty.
I had horses when I was small, but I don't remember them and I have always wanted another but under circumstances I couldn't get one. But I love being around them and I would always love to have another one day. My favorite are the Duns. :) I love them all though. I would love to live around them because I think they are one beautiful Animal!
