High School. The day after Labor
Day is forever a day of beginning again, filled with new clothes, pens
and notebooks, pimply faces, changing voices and great hope for
romance. Here's where it happened for me down at the end of South Main, Weatherford, Texas.
Old Weatherford High: not too impressive, Huh? Well just
take a peek inside at our mascots: the Weatherford,
Kangaroos.
All that years ago. I found romance elsewhere and wrote a lot of books about it. Our town boomed with the development of gas wells. The success called for more streets, shopping malls and a huge Weatherford High School.
Where did you go to high school?

I went to Copperas Cove High School in central Texas. We were the home of the Bulldogs. They now call themselves the Bulldawgs. Really!!! Not just the same.
ReplyDeleteDebi, I know exactly where Copperas Cove is. My sister used to live in Lampasas.
DeleteWe went "cruising" in Lampasas many a nights. It is funny how small the world can be. How long did she live there?
DeleteI went to York Humber High School, which was located in The City of York, Ontario Canada, and the Humber part is because the school is located next tot the Humber River. The City of York has now been incoporated into the City of Toronto. My high school was rebuilt in a new location about 15 or so years ago, and oddly it was built right around the streets where I grew up. Why could they have not done this when I was going there...
ReplyDeleteWas it a large school?
DeleteI went to two different high schools because of my father's job...The first one in Jackson, Mississippi and the second one here in Corpus Christi.
ReplyDeleteNice looking high school. I went to school in little bity Madisonville, Texas. You know the place where if you blink driving through, you miss it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing more post,Really i am impressed from it.
ReplyDeleteGreat post can you share with me more post about it because i have many idea about this blog.
