Easter is Upon Us

I've been so busy with the release of my latest book and taking a mini-book tour and writing a book and taking a collage course that I completely forgot about Easter until my sister-in-law called and asked if we would like to come over for the holiday. Yipes! It's April already?

I don't have little kids in the house, but my niece and nephew are 5 and 7, so I made a mad dash to the store for some Easter bunny magic. Here's the baskets that I made.

Did Easter slip up on you? Do you have any kids to celebrate the holiday with?

  1. Those are adorable! No, no kids or grandkids or even little nieces and nephews anymore. I do, however, hijack neighbors kids for any holiday! I had to scour the area for a PINK Easter basket, for the little girl across the street, as she and I go round and round about what's a better color -- pink, her fav, or purple, my fav! Ever argue with a four year old??? I find it fun with the added benefit of driving the adults crazy. :>) Your ideas were great and very creative. I'm sure they will love 'em!

  2. Cute baskets. I'm having the Easter dinner at my house this year. My first time having it. It will be about 25 people. My son is 15 so I don't do him a basket like that anymore, but I do fix something for him and his dad.

  3. No kids (other than my 36-year-old daughter) and I did get a card sent off yesterday. She lives way too far from me...

Wanted to let you know that I picked up - The Sweethearts' Knitting Club, The True Love Quilting Club, The First Love Cookie Club and The Welcome Home Garden Club on Friday...looking forward to reading them...

  4. These are great Easter baskets for your niece and nephew.. I have four to buy for, but they are all big now, 28,14 and the twins are 10. So Aunt Kathleen sent them all cards and gift certificates for Easter..
I will be just having a quiet weekend. Although I have been invited to dinner and the movies on Good Friday...So of course it will be fish for dinner..
Happy Easter and enjoy being with your family..

  5. love your baskets. I've had to cut back on the candy in my house since the husband is on a diet and I don't want any temptation to close to him. I've been practical lately and I've been getting books, iTunes cards, gas cards and such. We still do the easter egg hunt outside. 8 dozen plastic eggs filled with jelly beans and quarters. My father-in-law started this 30 years ago with my kids and I still do it. Will be great next year when the granddaughter is 1 and can toddle around. Looking forward to it.

  6. I have that same Cars basket for my son. I got my daughter a Hello Kitty one. I have most everything bought except for the toy/movie I also add. Happy Easter to you Lori. Have a great Easter Sunday and the rest of your week.
