Buns and Roses Tea Giveaway

I'm back from my weekend at the Buns and Roses tea event. Jodi Thomas, our keynote speaker, was fabulous as always. I sat with a terrific group of ladies at my table. Shout out to Andrea, Lauren, Maya, Jill, Beverly and Kay. It was so fun talking books with you all. Thanks to everyone who helped raised money for literacy.

So you can have a chance to share in the magic, I bought one of the Buns and Roses boxes. For $20, sight unseen, you buy a mystery box. The one thing you know that's in it is a Buns and Roses stuffed bear. This year, he's a cowboy bear which was right up my alley. There are other things in the boxes as well (such as jewelry) but you don't know for sure what you'll get. To the box, I've added the party favors I gave out at my table. That's all the hints you get. If you want in on the giveaway just post below and I'll draw a name from those who comment on Wednesday.

  8. What a great giveaway. The tea setting picture reminds me of the previous weekend. I took my daughter to a Princess Rapunzel tea party. We had a great time and she dressed up as Tinkerbell- which didn't go over too well with Rapunzel ;-)

  10. A teddy bear? I'm in! I don't have one yet. He will be in good company. It sounds like the teas are a lot of fun. Wish there was something similar near here.

  11. Christine,
I think it is so neat how mothers and their little girls are going to tea parties. That is the type of thing girls will remember for the rest of their life! Such a special time.

  14. I was so sad that I couldn't make it to Buns and Roses. I'd love a chance to win. Also, my nickname as a child was Teddy Bear. (My mom was way to young to be a mom!) Pick me, pick me! :)

  17. It's so much fun to get a surprise! Sometimes you love it & sometimes it's not really your cup of tea. But my mother always said 'don't look a gift horse in the mouth', so I try to appreciate every gift & surprise. Sounds like it was a good time & Literacy is a wonderful cause.

  18. What a great gift give away.... Count me in please....

We have a beautiful hotel in Toronto that offers afternoon tea.. I have been there a few times. It is so lovely and elegant.. I would love to take my "girls" there and teach them all about the art of this wonderful event.
I think they would find itold fashioned... Maybe not.

  19. Sounds like a wonderful event and one that gives back to literacy! I definitely have Joi Thomas on my list of authors to try. Her Harmony books sound so heartwarming.

I can't resist surprises especially when it comes in the guise of a stuffed bear.
