$10.00 Gift Card Giveaway

I'm giving away a $10.00 electronic gift card to either Amazon or B&N winner's choice. Just because I'm elbow deep in writing a novella and can't think of an entertaining blog post. So just post in the comment section and tell me what you're doing this fine Saturday. I'll draw the winner's name on Monday.

  1. Hi, Lori!

It's been raining off and on for several days here in southwest Florida. Today, I decided to "plant my butt" and read. (Hubby took off to go to a gun show. A guy thing, you know!) I'm zooming through Jennifer Weiner's "Then Came Youl" I had to put the book down as I'm starting to get sleepy. Need to take a nap. Yawn!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend. *snooze*

  3. Unfortunately I'm staying at a local hotel for at least a week. My kitchen and bath are being demolished because my upstairs neighbor in my condo building had her washer overflow last week, and the water came down inside the walls in my unit. And sleeping in a hotel is not relaxing- doors opening and closing at all hours. I'm hoping they will be done by Thursday, so I can go home and have the other people in to restore and paint.

  8. Hi! Taking it easy today. Monday is my birthday so tomorrow I'm driving to Jersey for a birthday lunch with big Sis, her son, and his 3 kids (one of the kids shares my birthday.) Should be a nice day. I haven't seen the kids for a while.

  14. This morning we got the horses jogged and all the barn work done. Relaxed this afternoon and now hubby just went out to pick up a bushel of crabs for those of us who live on the farm. Our treat because both horses we raced this week won.

  18. We took a ride on the motorcycle this morning to Anacortes, Wa. About a 45 minute ride for us. As soon as we walked back in the house my husband turned on the University of Washington "Huskies" Football Game. I'm going to grab one of my books and start reading.

  20. I went window shopping with my family today and truly had no intention of getting anything aside from groceries. We ended up with some fresh salmon to make for dinner, and an exercise step machine. It was on sale and I figured I can put it to use when watching TV since I can't go mountain hiking in the Fall.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend. I can't wait until your novellas are released.

  23. I had lots of fun today. My son and I went to Wild Adventures Theme Park and had a blast. We got to see a new addition to the park (a rhino), we rode rides and had a picnic. We spent about half an hour in the snake pit (not my idea of time well spent but my son was excited about it). Oh, and a goat stole my coke, can you believe that lol.

  24. I went grocery shopping earlier today. I then watched the Iowa Hawkeys win at football. I then had to go to work and that is where I am at now. Would love to win, and thanks for the giveaway.

  28. Today took the kids the the Lowe's Build workshop where they built wooden ambulances. Then we went to the park. Stopped at Chick-fil-a for lunch. Ran into Sam's Club. Was going to dip into the pool when we got home but it started to rain. Made dinner, talked/played and then got ready for bedtime book and lights out. Now the house is quiet and I am playing on the computer.

  29. On this fine second day of Fall, I read most of the morning and then my hubby and I went to see the "Dolphin Tale" which was truly a feel good movie! Then we went out to eat dinner and after I write this, I will get back to reading some more!

  30. It was a absolutely gorgeous day here today. I spent part of the day cleaning the house in the hopes of meeting my son's new girlfriend. Guess that may happen tomorrow now.

Then I went and picked up my 2 year old grandson for an overnight so that his mommy and daddy could have a date night. I also invited my 7 year old grandson and 3 year old granddaughter to come over to see their cousin. We played outside and had a hamburger cookout.

Our days of doing these activities are going to be a thing of that past soon so we have to enjoy them while we can.

  32. I took an uber personal day on Saturday. I didn't do one single thing I didn't want to do. I had a super relaxing lunch with my mom (best company ever), did some shopping, and ended up having breakfast for dinner later that night. Such a pretty day of relaxation and fun and no stress. I didn't invite stress. She could not come. ::::glares at stress:::: One of the most pleasant days in recent memory and it recharged my batteries a bit. :)

  33. My husband had to work, so I spent the day hanging with the kids and finishing up the book I was reading. Then we took our two kids and my niece to the fair. I can't go on rides (motion sickness stinks!) so I pretty much stood around holding four drinks, two giant inflatable baseball bats and an inflatable Spongebob lol. But I can't complain, I loved watching the rest of them having a great time and going on the death traps, I mean rides :)
