Holiday Movies

The baby clones and I decided to reinact my favorite holiday movie for you.

What's your favorite holiday movie? Do you watch it every year?

  1. I have one TV movie I always have to watch during the holidays. It's "The Christmas List" starring Mimi Rogers, Rob Stewart, and Stella Stevens from 1997.

    The Summary:
Perfume saleslady Melody Parris feels like her life is in neutral. Her stick-in-the mud boyfriend won't commit and she gets passed over for a promotion at the store where she works. She decides to make a Christmas list. After it's deposited in Santa's mailbox at the store, she starts getting everything she wanted, but it doesn't always turn out as she expected.

For some reason the holiday just isn't the holiday til I see that movie.

I also have to watch Serendipity with John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale. I love the move for all its philosophical ramblings, awesome romantic spirit, and just sheer brilliance. I'm a sucker for anything dealing with Fate, Destiny and Soul Mates. I find it fascinating, and the whole holiday setting in New York is just pretty!

My mom has to watch the old Debbie Reynolds classic "Susan Slept Here" (the 1951 version not that weird one with Madonna), starring Reynolds and William Powell. She's a huge fan of the movie -- I even managed to find the songs she loves from it and give that to her for her gift one year -- but you can't find it ANYWHERE. It's not released on DVD at all and the only time they play it on tv is at Christmas. Usually at 2 a.m. on some weird channel nobody gets. LOL.

  2. Whoops, I meant 1954. And what do you know, I just googled Susan Slept Here and it looks like they finally released it on DVD last year. Yay! Off to go add that to my shopping cart for a surprise stocking stuff! Glad you brought this topic up, Lori. I never would have looked otherwise!
