Farewell Dublin Dr.Pepper

I don't know if any of you ever tasted Dublin Dr.Pepper, but it was delicious. It was made in the little town of Dublin, Texas.

The company had been in business since 1891. It was the oldest Dr. Pepper bottling plant in the world.

Dublin DP was better because it was made with Imperial sugar, not high fructose corn syrup. They used the original formula. It was something special, unique.

In June, Dublin would celebrate with the Dr.Pepper Day Festival. It was so much fun. There was live music, games, and free tours of the plant. Each year, a girl was crowned Miss Peggy Pepper. They even baked a huge birthday cake made with Dr. Pepper for everyone to share.

Yes, it is sad. Good bye Dublin DP. I will miss you!

Did you ever taste Dublin Dr.Pepper?

  2. I love Dr Pepper, but I have to say, I've never tasted it from Dublin. Now I guess I never will. One of the reasons I always loved flying SW Airlines was because they always serve Dr Pepper on their flights.
