There's no place like home

While NYC was exciting and energizing, I'm glad to be back home. Burrowing in to finish the final book in my current contract. Much work to be done before July 15th.  No Fourth of July holiday for me.

What about you? Are you enjoying time off or buckling down this holiday weekend?

  1. Went to the river to swim yesterday, babysitting the grandsons today, and attending a barbecue tomorrow.

  2. We went to the Cravens House on Lookout Mountain, above Chattanooga and watched fireworks last night. We are going to a baseball game, the Lookouts, tonight and watch more fireworks. We will grill some hamburgers and are watching John Adams on HBO. Sorry you have to work, but i always wait to the end of a deadline and do my best work. Is that how you are as well? Happy 4th!

  3. Sorry you had to work. Deadlines are no fun.
I spent yesterday moving (yet again) my daughter to another college apartment. The last move was only 7 weeks ago. This place is much closer to the school so I am hoping it helps save money on gas.

  4. Estella,

I haven't been swimming in years. I don't even know where my swimsuit is.

  5. Mrs. C,

I do work best under pressure. That's why I keep piling on the work. If I don't have a deadline, I become a total slacker.

Sounds like you had a great weekend.
