Think Cool Thoughts

Okay, whose idea was it to make this summer so hot? I haven't been out of the house in days. I feel so sorry for people who have to work outside in this heat. I've even brought the outside pets in the house because it's too miserable for them out there. I'm drowning in pet hair, and putting up with dog/cat spats as they all try to sit in my lap.

Let's think cooling throughts.

What are you doing to combat the heat? And if it's cool where you are, air out your guest room, we're coming over.

  1. It's soooooo hot here. Our heat index is 109 right now. Real temp is 98. Beating the heat by staying inside in the a/c. I venture out only when the sun has gone down for the occasional strawberry cooler (a mix of fresh chopped strawberries and lemon ice) from the local Culvers Frozen Custard place.

  2. I avoid going out unless it is absolutely necessary. Dreading the next electric bill! It's cooled down - only 100 right now. :O)

  4. OK, gotta have some ice cream now! That picture looks so yummy!

It's hot here in GA, too. Mother Nature is having a big laugh somewhere. We are having a hotter than normal summer after a colder, snowier than normal winter. I think we skipped spring.

  6. So that photo did nothing for my diet, but I'll forgive you. It's only 91 over here... come on over. I'm itching to try out my new running shoes, but way too hot to even think about it!

  8. Hot, Hot in NJ! I try not to go out, but something snags me, like my dogs have to go out! I can hardly breathe! Forget their nice long walks! Lori, when we were looking for dogs, we looked for ones who don't shed. It's one smart thing we did!
