Getting Ready For Thanksgiving

Who's out shopping? I went out to battle the stores today. Yipes! It's already started. The grocery store was packed.

It was one of those days where I had to remind myself not to get frustrated by the crowds and long lines. After all, this is a season of thanksgiving.

Today I am thankful for people who don't block the grocery store aisles.

Don't forget that tomorrow is the Kindle giveaway. If you haven't posted a comment yet, there's still time to do it!

  1. What a difference a few days make. I was there on Friday to get my holiday shopping done but needed to pick up something today. WOW! The parking lot was packed, all the carts were being used and the aisles were clogged. Man, I was happy I was picking up milk for me and a pie for work. I can't imagine what tomorrow and Wednesday are going to look like.

  2. My daughter and I tag teamed it! At one point we were directing traffic to help a lady confined to her electric cart - it was like highway gridlock. Am glad that's OVER... Now we can settle down and focus on the point of this holiday - giving thanks. Hope you, and your readers, have a blessed holiday!

  3. I did my grocery shopping on Sunday, thank goodness, so I get to skip the Thanksgiving rush. Since I got an invite, I don't have to cook or clean this year either. Yay! Very excited about it.

  5. I went today to pick up a few things, and of course I need to go back tomorrow, too. Maybe this year I won't feel like such a fraud celebrating American holidays (I'm an Aussie).

  6. Hope you have a Happy Thanksgiivng..Makes me glad that I don't have to have the big dinners anymore... But I always go to do my groceries early in the morning, before for the hords decend. Of course our Thanksgiving is in October and now we have to gear up for the Chritmas shopping which is worse...
Have a great day and enjoy your feast.
